The Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli hostile vehicle targeted a car at the Lebanon-Syria border, noting that four bodies remain inside. Images show the targeted vehicle in Majdal Anjar, while videos depict an Israeli raid on a car on the Factory-Majdal Anjar road.
The Israeli army stated in a statement that it targeted “terrorist elements of the Islamic Jihad movement” in the Majdal Anjar area. In a related development, the army announced Thursday evening the targeting of a Hezbollah member in the al-Tiri area in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese National News Agency cited the Ministry of Health’s Emergency Operations Center as stating that the Israeli raid on the al-Tiri town in Bint Jbeil resulted in the death of a citizen.
Lebanon aims to place all weapons under state control, in line with the ceasefire brokered by the United States in November 2024, which ended the war between Israel and Hezbollah. Israel has been conducting regular raids in Lebanon since the end of the war with Hezbollah, with security sources in Lebanon stating that these attacks have resulted in the deaths of nearly 400 people. Israel accuses Hezbollah of seeking rearmament in violation of the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, while the group affirms its commitment to the ceasefire in southern Lebanon.
