Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan said during a meeting of the Washington Peace Council that “with the start of the holy month of Ramadan, we hope to reach peace, coexistence, and prosperity living side by side.”
Addressing US President Donald Trump, the official noted that five years ago, they, alongside Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, launched the Abraham Accords with Israel. He emphasized that since then, the UAE has worked not only with the US and Israel but also to build a better future for the region. He added that even during the events of October 7, the UAE provided over $3 billion in aid to the people of Gaza.
He announced an additional $1.2 billion in funding to support the efforts of the Peace Council.
The official mentioned his work with various figures, including Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Marco Rubio, describing the collaboration as inspiring. He concluded by thanking Trump for his support, stating that without it, the meeting would not have taken place, and wishing him success in his peace efforts.
