Reports indicate that two hospitals in Khuzestan province, located in the southwest of Iran, sustained significant damage resulting from pressure waves caused by nearby explosions. Official television channels reported that the Razi Medical Center in Ahvaz and the Imam Ali Hospital in Andimeshk were among the affected facilities.
Reports also indicated that Mehrabad Airport in western Tehran was among the targeted locations, with circulated images showing fires breaking out near the airport premises. Iranian media pointed out that the disruptions at the airport contributed to the postponement of the funeral ceremonies for the country’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, who was killed in a strike days prior.
Reports further mentioned that military facilities in Tehran and various regions across the central, western, and northwestern parts of Iran were struck during the same attacks. In response, the Israeli army announced the execution of a series of concentrated air strikes targeting vital sites in the Iranian capital. These sites included an underground missile storage depot and a military academy affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Independent sources have not yet been able to verify the accuracy of these reports. This escalation occurs amidst a wave of rising tensions that has persisted for about a week, characterized by extensive strikes carried out by Israel and the United States within Iranian territory.
