Kamto, whose work has garnered praise from Argentina’s captain and Inter Miami star Lionel Messi, stated: “This is where my love for the game began. For me, football means being with family and friends. It is not just a game, but culture, love, and deep human connections.”
Today, football has become an integral part of her professional career. With the World Cup approaching in June, she is preparing to display her unique creations—hand-painted footballs—at ten stores in Miami’s Wynwood district.
The district is known for transforming warehouses into vibrant art galleries, where almost anything can be turned into a creative canvas. For Kamto, the intersection of art and football seemed like the perfect match.
Kamto, who has lived in Miami for about two and a half years, explained: “I believe this is the perfect combination at the right time with the right people. Messi’s arrival in the city has boosted football’s popularity here; he inspires children with big dreams and makes them believe in their ability to succeed in the sport, which is wonderful.”
Kamto believes her philosophy is simple: just as art unites people, football can also bring together different cultures, backgrounds, and languages under one umbrella.
One of her notable achievements in 2018 was designing a football shoe decorated with images of Messi and his family, which she gifted to him. The Argentine star was later seen wearing the shoe in a widely circulated photo, earning her significant recognition in the football world.
Her work has also attracted attention from football legends such as Diego Maradona and Pelé, as well as Ronaldinho, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and Jordi Alba.
Last week, Wynwood hosted the launch of her first art stations, where she unveiled a piece depicting Spain’s 2010 World Cup
