Israeli officials claim that the aerial strikes targeted a large number of Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian. Iran confirmed that the Supreme Leader was transferred to a safe location, while Pezeshkian is unharmed and has not suffered any injuries.
Citing Israeli officials, Axios reported that Khamenei, Pezeshkian, and other prominent political and military figures were among the targets of the attacks, with results remaining unclear. An Iranian source revealed that several commanders of the Revolutionary Guard and political officials were killed in the raids, though the identities of the military casualties were not disclosed.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation stated that Advisor to the Supreme Leader Ali Shamkhani was among those targeted. The Mehr News Agency confirmed that Hatami is in good health and not threatened. The Student News Agency (ISNA) echoed this, reporting that the Army Commander is in good condition and continues to lead the armed forces.
Additionally, the Fars News Agency confirmed that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani are safe. In other developments, the Tasnim News Agency reported that at least 24 people were killed in an Israeli strike on a school in southern Iran.
