Israeli military forces carried out a wave of widespread strikes targeting infrastructure belonging to the Iranian regime in Tehran. Meanwhile, the official Iranian television reported explosions occurring in several areas of the capital.
On Thursday, Israeli military Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced that the country has moved to the second phase of its operations against Iran. He stated that in this phase, efforts will continue to dismantle the regime and its military capabilities.
Zamir explained that the Israeli Air Force conducted approximately 2,500 attacks on targets within Iran since Saturday morning, describing this as the “surprise attack phase.” He confirmed that Israeli forces achieved air superiority and destroyed over 60% of ballistic missile launchers.
He noted that hundreds of missile platforms were hit, a move he said contributed to protecting lives within Israel. However, he warned that the danger is not over, stating that “every missile is lethal and represents a threat.”
Israeli air raid sirens sounded multiple times on Thursday following the launch of Iranian rockets towards the country. Later, the Israeli military announced that it had killed several Iranian commanders in attacks targeting sites inside Iran.
