A fifth-generation stealth aircraft conducting a combat mission over Iran was forced to make an emergency landing, according to Central Command spokesperson Tim Hawkins. Hawkins confirmed that the aircraft landed safely and the pilot is in stable condition, noting that the incident is currently under investigation. This marks the first time a U.S. aircraft has been impacted by Iranian forces since the conflict began in late February. Both the United States and Israel operate F-35 jets in the region, with each aircraft costing over $100 million. The emergency landing comes as U.S. officials continue to emphasize the success of their campaign against Iran. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated on Thursday morning that the U.S. is achieving a “decisive victory” and that Iranian air defenses have been neutralized.
