President Trump confirmed that U.S. Central Command executed one of the strongest airstrikes against military targets in the island, asserting that the operations resulted in the complete destruction of the targeted military objectives. He indicated that he decided against targeting the oil infrastructure in the island of Kharj due to responsibility concerns, while simultaneously warning that he would immediately reconsider this decision if Iran attempts to disrupt navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump added that the U.S. Navy will soon begin escorting oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz to protect them, amidst rising tensions in the region. He affirmed that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons and will be unable to threaten the United States, the Middle East, or the world, calling on the Iranian military and all supporters of the Iranian regime to lay down their arms to save what remains of their country. The U.S. President emphasized that the war will persist as long as necessary, noting that the goals of the United States and Israel in Iran may differ slightly.
