ترامب يكشف مخرجات لقائه مع نتنياهو بشأن إيران

Donald Trump posted on his social media account that he had just finished meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several of his representatives. He described the meeting as very productive, emphasizing the enduring strong ties between the two countries.

Trump clarified that no agreement was reached, but he insisted on continuing negotiations with Iran to explore the possibility of a deal. He stated that if such an agreement is reached, he would inform the Prime Minister that this would be their preferred option, but if it is not possible, they will wait to see how events unfold. He further stated that in the past, Iran decided against a deal to its detriment by receiving a “midnight strike,” and he hoped Iran would be more rational and responsible this time.

Trump concluded by noting that they discussed significant progress in Gaza and the broader region, stating that peace already prevails in the Middle East.

Netanyahu’s office stated that the Prime Minister concluded a meeting at the White House with US President Donald Trump and his team. The two sides discussed negotiations with Iran, the situation in Gaza, and regional developments. The Prime Minister emphasized Israel’s security needs during the negotiations, and both sides agreed to continue close coordination and communication.

Reports indicate that the talks at the White House lasted approximately three hours. The ‘Yedioth Ahronoth’ newspaper noted that the meeting included US Secretaries of State and War Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth, as well as Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation revealed that Netanyahu plans to inform Trump that a good agreement with Iran should have no expiration date and permanently prevent it from acquiring a nuclear weapon. It also noted that Israeli assessments suggest Tehran is trying to gain time in negotiations with Washington and that the likelihood of reaching an agreement is low.

Prior to the meeting, Netanyahu met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and signed joining the ‘Peace Council’.
