مدير الطيران المدني السوداني السابق يرد على الإعلامي المصري عمر أديب

Former head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Ibrahim Adlan, criticized Egyptian media personality Amr Adib for mocking the celebrations following the return of SudanAir flights to Khartoum after a two-year hiatus caused by war. Adlan described Adib’s sarcasm as an act of contempt toward national sovereignty and the resilience of the Sudanese people.

Adlan defended journalist Amira Karar, stating that her reaction was not impulsive but a necessary response to what he described as unprofessional behavior. He emphasized that the return of SudanAir is not merely a flight, but a declaration of the state’s sovereignty and the recovery of a strategic facility that was a direct target during the conflict.

Adlan characterized Adib as a media figure who prioritizes sensation over substance, lacking historical memory or a connection to the symbolic value of reclaiming national infrastructure. He dismissed Adib’s comparison between reclaiming an airport under fire and selling land for applause as morally void, arguing that Sudan is a state of sacrifice rather than a marginal entity.
