شهباز شريف: محادثات إسلام أباد "مصيرية" لوقف إطلاق النار

Negotiations are set to take place in Islamabad following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire by US President Donald Trump, marking the end of weeks of conflict between the United States and Israel against Iran. A high-level US delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance and including special envoy Steve Witkoff and advisor Jared Kushner, arrived in Pakistan on Saturday to participate in the talks scheduled for the capital. The Iranian negotiating team, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday. Reports also indicate that the delegation held discussions with the Pakistani Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, the previous evening. These diplomatic engagements are taking place ahead of significant negotiations between Iran and the United States in Islamabad, aimed at achieving a permanent end to the war in the Middle East.
