The Ministry stated that it closely monitors stock levels available with suppliers and various sales outlets through an advanced electronic system for price tracking. Data is collected and analyzed continuously, alongside comprehensive periodic evaluations, to ensure the continuous availability of basic goods, prevent potential market shortages, and enhance price stability while meeting consumer needs.
In this context, the Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, stated that the UAE has successfully built a flexible economic system capable of facing various regional and global challenges, thanks to the wise and proactive leadership. He emphasized that the country continues to enhance its readiness to deal with regional and global variables, prioritizing food security and goods availability.
The Minister confirmed that the movement of imports and goods flow into markets remains natural, with no indicators of supply disturbances or product shortages. He noted that the UAE has demonstrated its ability to manage global supply chain challenges with high efficiency and flexibility. Possessing a wide network of commercial partners worldwide and proactive plans to diversify import sources and open new markets ensures the continuous flow of goods without interruption. He added that the country maintains constant communication with all partners in the public and private sectors to ensure market abundance and balance.
He stressed that ensuring the availability of basic goods, particularly food, is a top priority for the country’s leadership, leaving no room for negligence in the nation’s food, economic, and social security. He urged the public to remain calm and not be swayed by fears or engage in excessive purchasing or stockpiling. He noted that markets in the country are well-stocked with various goods and products needed by consumers, supported by high strategic reserves and ready emergency and response plans to ensure continuity under all circumstances.
The Ministry of Economy and Tourism indicated that all major sales outlets in the country have confirmed the stability of supply processes, with no unusual changes in provisioning, imports, or inventory management. It also clarified that it maintains direct daily contact with suppliers, distributors, and sales outlets to monitor stock quantities, determine sufficiency levels for each product, and ensure their availability around the clock.
