This incident follows hours after an earlier drone strike by the same group targeting the area to assassinate Sheikh Musa Hilal, who survived; the previous attack destroyed a local hospital and civilian homes, killing and injuring residents. According to reports, the Al-Daqlo militia initiated a new offensive on Damara and Al-Mustari’a this morning, specifically on Monday, February 23. Pro-government forces intervened, destroying numerous militia vehicles and forcing a partial retreat, although large gatherings of the militia persist north and south of the location.
