Russian media quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying that details regarding the meeting will be announced once the date and location are agreed upon. However, he added that “so far, there are no major changes in the positions of the regime in Kyiv.”
Ukraine’s chief negotiator Rustem Umerov held talks in Geneva yesterday with US envoy Steve Witkoff. In a post on Telegram, Umerov stated that the two sides are working to finalize security standards and economic solutions while coordinating positions to form the basis for further agreements.
Additionally, Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev met with Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump, in Geneva.
