The Ministry of Electricity and Water announced that two power and desalination plants were targeted by hostile drones, resulting in significant material damage and the shutdown of two power generation units. No human casualties were recorded. Technical and emergency teams are currently working around the clock to restore services.
The Ministry of Finance reported that the government complex in Kuwait City was targeted by a drone on Saturday evening, causing material damage but no injuries. Emergency teams responded immediately according to standard procedures. Consequently, work at the complex has been moved to a remote format for Sunday, April 5, and will resume in person on Monday, April 6, pending further updates.
Additionally, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced that the oil complex in Shuaiba, which houses the corporation and the Ministry of Oil, was attacked by hostile drones, leading to a fire. Emergency and firefighting teams responded immediately to the incident.
The Kuwait Armed Forces General Staff also stated that Kuwaiti air defenses are currently intercepting hostile missiles and drones.
