Military orders have been updated to include accelerating the demolition of homes in adjacent Lebanese villages, with the stated goal of “thwarting threats against Israeli towns.” Officials confirmed that the Israeli army is conducting “intensive” ground maneuvers in Lebanon, aiming to eliminate Hezbollah elements and reach missile defense lines and strategic positions to secure the region.
The Israeli army announced on Sunday that it intends to target the “Qasimiya Bridge” and the “Coastal Highway Bridge,” seeking to prevent Hezbollah from transferring reinforcements and military assets. The military explained that “given the activities of Hezbollah and the transfer of terrorist elements to southern Lebanon with the support of civilian residents, the army is compelled to carry out widespread and precise strikes against Hezbollah operations.”
The army called on civilians to continue moving to areas north of the Zahrani River and to refrain from moving southward. It also stated that it will continue facilitating the evacuation of residents from southern Lebanon toward the Litani River in combat zones.
