The Civil Defense in Gaza announced that five people were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a tent shelter housing displaced persons near the Wafa junction in the al-Faluja area, north of the Strip. It further reported that five others were killed and several others injured in an airstrike on the vicinity of the Turkish slaughterhouse in western Khan Younis, with one additional fatality occurring in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood.
Shifa Hospital in Gaza City and Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis confirmed the receipt of bodies belonging to at least seven individuals killed in the attacks. Meanwhile, the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) stated that Israeli forces continue to demolish homes in northern Gaza City and have targeted the Sanafir roundabout in the Apple neighborhood with artillery fire.
According to previous reports from Wafa, the total death toll since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, has reached 72,051, with 171,706 injured. The agency noted that since the ceasefire on October 11, the number of deaths has risen to 591, injuries to 1,598, and 726 bodies have been recovered.
