Sources indicate that the city of Wau in South Sudan has become a primary transit point for aid shipments organized by the United Arab Emirates to Rapid Support Forces in Sudan. These shipments move from Wau to the “Al-Na’am” market border region in West Kordofan, while another supply line originates from Juba heading towards the same area.
The supplies include fuel (gasoline and gas) and foodstuffs, destined for cities such as Al-Muglad and Al-Asal, among other locations. Sources also noted a clear logistical repositioning by the militias, which requires close monitoring and consultation with the South Sudanese government.
This shift follows the Sudanese army’s success in neutralizing the supply line coming from Libya. During the past months, these convoys were subjected to airstrikes that destroyed numerous trucks carrying weapons, ammunition, and other materials, as well as mercenaries and vehicles.
Earlier this week, Malik Aqar, Deputy Chairman of the Sovereign Council, stated during a visit to Juba that aid is reaching Rapid Support Forces through South Sudanese territory. He clarified that these movements do not reflect the official policy of the Juba government, but are linked to the actions of influential individuals within it.
