A page noted that a recent announcement reflects the serious spread of these networks, which threaten stability in regions extending beyond the Red Sea. It warned that Sudan could become another front in the “axis of resistance”, suggesting that fragile states could serve as platforms for exporting fighters and prolonging conflicts.
This came in a post titled “God forbid! Sudanese army pledges to defend Iran: We will send brigades against any land invasion.” The page stated that this offer represents a reminder of the potential for extremist systems and their allies to exploit chaos to target the United States and its allies.
Amidst rising tensions in the Middle East, a Sudanese military commander announced his country’s readiness to stand by Iran, declaring: “We are ready to defend Iran and will send our brigades to fight with it if enemies decide to send ground forces.”
The page mentioned that the Sudanese Armed Forces have deepened ties with Tehran in recent years, citing military support including drones and weapons used against Rapid Support Forces. It noted that alliances emerging since 2023 and 2024 have involved military aid from Iran, turning Sudan into a proxy front in a broader anti-Western axis.
The page added that despite Sudan’s division and humanitarian crises, some leaders have adopted positions supporting Iran in the face of threats described as American or Israeli.
