The army announced earlier that it had carried out an operation, while Lebanese media reported the death of a person in the area. The statement added that the 91st Division forces carried out operations during the past week that resulted in the “elimination of three elements” involved in rehabilitating infrastructure attributed to Hezbollah. The army stated that its forces also destroyed several buildings and engineering equipment used to bolster Hezbollah activities in southern Lebanon, confirming the continuation of operations aimed at removing what it described as threats. This comes despite the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah, which has been in effect since late November 2024. The agreement stipulates the disarmament of Hezbollah, a task entrusted to the Lebanese army by the government. According to official Lebanese figures, more than 300 people have been killed since the ceasefire entered into force, while the United Nations reported that more than 100 of the victims are civilians.
