Former Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa described the current situation in the region as a suicidal scene that will leave nothing behind. He clarified that the ongoing events are not merely a gamble by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to drag Washington into war, but rather the opposite; they constitute a precise American strategic plan. Moussa stated that Washington has employed Israel as a “regional partner” to execute this agenda, with the ultimate goal being the complete reshaping of the Middle East’s geopolitics—including the Arab world—to fall under Israeli leadership. He noted that this new geopolitical formation will not emerge easily, citing China as a factor, as the war threatens the Belt and Road initiative which passes through the heart of the Arab world. He added that this scenario may be impossible without the interests and presence of Russia in the region, which he described as a “red line” that cannot be crossed without a bipolar international agreement. Moussa warned that Iran does not appear ready to submit to pressure, calling for the continuation of the Arab stance supporting Gulf states in confronting attacks and preparing for a comprehensive and prolonged phase of regional instability. He issued an urgent call to the Arab League, stating that if a strong Arab alternative is not presented to counter the plan to subjugate the Arab world, then joint Arab work is futile in this historical challenge.
