Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Burhan highlighted the pioneering role of artists, creators, and journalists in supporting the “Dignity Battle,” asserting that art and expression constitute an authentic front in the defense of the state’s sovereignty.
Speaking during a program titled “Communication with Creators” at the World Space Center for Culture and Media, Burhan called on all creative figures to fulfill their national duty during the current phase. He stressed the importance of consolidating a culture of peace and working diligently to eradicate parochialism and racism.
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council noted that the battle has proven the unity and cohesion of the Sudanese people behind their armed forces. He predicted that the entire territory will soon be liberated, envisioning a future where no one carries weapons. He emphasized that the country’s internal issues must be resolved through dialogue and development, highlighting Sudan’s rich heritage, people, and culture.
Burhan expressed his deep gratitude for the positive stance of the Sudanese people in supporting the armed forces in the battle for dignity. He reiterated his commitment to providing necessary support to develop artistic and cultural institutions as beacons of awareness and national construction.
Addressing journalists, the military leader urged them to rise above side conflicts and focus on national issues. He emphasized the need for accuracy, warning against spreading unverified information and urging reliance on official sources. Furthermore, he affirmed the pivotal role of the press in raising awareness and combating hate and parochialism, noting that the country is facing significant challenges due to attempts to undermine unity and stability. He concluded that the people’s awareness will ultimately foil these schemes.
